BPL - Requirements to Start Balloon Pilot License (BPL) Course
Age: Applicants for the BPL course must be at least 16 years old.
Education Level: It is anticipated that candidates applying to fly as a Pilot in Command (PIC) in non-commercial operations without earning any income should have sufficient knowledge of subjects such as Mathematics, Physics, etc., to understand the theoretical content of the course. Candidates who will serve as a Pilot in Command (PIC) in commercial air transportation must be at least high school graduates or equivalent according to SHY-1 Pilot License Regulations.
Health Conditions: Applicants must hold a valid 1st or 2nd class health certificate issued by aviation medical centers authorized by DGCA or DGCA and must not have any restrictions preventing them from flying as a responsible pilot in single-pilot certified aircraft in their health certificate.
Additional Requirements Imposed by DGCA: Pilot candidates must comply with the regulations regarding criminal records and security specified in Article 16 of the SHY-1 Pilot License Regulations.
